What does energy monitoring tell me?
Circuit-level monitoring shows when selected systems are drawing power and how their activity changes over time. Dedicated sensors can confirm conditions such as indoor temperature, freezer temperature, and water leaks. Alerts are tuned to meaningful changes rather than every ordinary cycle.
What is Aria?
Aria is the private platform that brings compatible home systems, status, alerts, and approved controls into one interface. Core functions run on hardware installed in the home, while some connected products may continue to use their manufacturers’ cloud services.
Will Aria work with my existing systems?
Often, but compatibility depends on the model, software version, available access, system condition, and sometimes the original project files. We review the existing system before quoting and tell you plainly what can and cannot be integrated.
Who receives an alert?
You decide. Alerts may be sent to you or to people you designate, including a spouse, property manager, caretaker, assistant, trusted neighbor, or another local contact. SAF-Integration receives alerts only when that arrangement has been selected by the homeowner.
Is this an alarm or security-monitoring service?
No. Aria and energy monitoring provide awareness, automation, and informational alerts. They are not alarm, life-safety, professionally monitored, or emergency-dispatch services. Existing alarm systems, smoke detectors, and monitored services should remain in place.
Who performs electrical-panel work?
SAF-Integration is not a licensed electrical contractor. Any required in-panel or line-voltage work is performed by a licensed electrical contractor. SAF-Integration handles the monitoring, integration, configuration, and commissioning.
What does installation involve?
We begin with a complimentary site and compatibility review. After the scope is established, equipment is configured, installed, tested, and tuned to the property. Alert thresholds and routines are refined after the system has observed normal operation.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on the property, existing systems, and scope. Before work begins, you receive a clear installation price or disclosed billing structure, along with any ongoing monitoring and support cost.
What area do you serve?
SAF-Integration is based in Petoskey and serves second homes throughout Northern Michigan, including Bay Harbor, Harbor Springs, Walloon Lake, Charlevoix, Boyne City, and surrounding communities.
What happens when I need local help?
You contact the same local company that configured the system. Many issues can be reviewed remotely, and when an on-site visit is needed, we already understand the home and the equipment involved.
